ARTIST STATEMENT
My images are usually about visual journeys to unknown places.
CV
I have been a practicing artist since 1970 and have exhibited at numerous throughout Australia and Overseas. These include Beaver Galleries, Holdsworth Galleries, Miromesnil Gallery and in Tatebayashi in Japan. Since settling in Queensland ten years ago, I have exhibited at Noosa Regional, Caloundra Regional and Gympie Galleries. I have had work collected by the Mitchell Library and the Parliamentary Library.
I trained as a Painter at Leeds College of Art with Printing as an elective. But since re-discovering Printing twenty years ago at Studio One in Canberra, I have done more Printing than Painting. I love the discipline of that art form, the fine line that I can achieve and the suprise of the unexpected the plate comes up with on the first proof! My prints are Limited Edition three-colour etchings printed on Hahnemule (350gsm) paper.
