ARTIST STATEMENT

I was formally trained in music composition and eventually found it useful if not necessary to include elements of painting, calligraphy, lighting and design in my scores. The process of creating orchestral works using various mediums left me with a passion for the visual arts and immense satisfaction in expressing myself with colour. I have since begun to study painting and include the ocean environment, wildlife and the activities of humans as some of my favourite subjects. I continue to explore the rhythmic, dynamic and compositional relationships between art and music.
