Ffrances Ingram
ARTIST STATEMENT
I have always been fascinated by the images in stories particularly folk and fairy tales and how these impact and resonate within the human psyche. As a storyteller/ visual artist I try and find the story and images that could be the most benefit to the community that I am working with.
From performing in public domain I now prefer to have the images as a more permanent visual statement in a public space. Much of my work appears to be involved in play and whimsy but attempt to explore inner truths and notions of fear and delight that still resonate within the psyche. This work has led to me talking at various health care conferences both as a visual artist and a storyteller.
