Born Epsom UK in 1940 Started painting in oils in 1965 and re-started in acrylics in 2000 whilst a Member of the NSW Legislative Council.
Greatly inspired by the wide open spaces of central Australia and the magnificent night skies. Collector of pre-contact Aboriginal art and influenced by this as well as great Aboriginal artists such as Tommy Watson, Kubbitji Tjungurrayi, Dorothy Napangardi and Naata Nungurrayi. Given the skin name of Tjungurrayi by a Pintupi elder.
Exhibited at Gallery at the Wentworth Sydney, Barebones Bangalow and Piece Gallery Mullumbimby In private collections in the UK, USA, New Zealand, Portugal, Sydney, Adelaide and Byron Bay.
