How do we read video art? Like a text, video art is a construction, in order to read text, one requires a knowledge and understanding of a set of abstract symbols, structures and an extensive and flexible vocabulary.

Julie Rrap
Julie Rrap has investigated a diverse range of media in her art making practice, including photography, performance, installation and sculpture. Exploring the relationship between image and substance, the examination of history and gender.

Tristan Sharp
An investigation of ArtExpress 09 at the Art Gallery of New South Wales through curatorial practices, key artworks and 2D, 3D and 4D expressive forms. Creating a dialogue between artworks and audiences and situating them in the context of a professional art gallery.

Patricia Piccinini
Patricia Piccinini works across a range of media including drawing, photography, sculpture and video. Her work tests the boundary between humans, other animals and biologically engineered species, then between the real, the imagined and the scientifically possible.
